Supporting the Ukrainian governmental and self governmental administration in tourism development planning in the field of 5 thematic areas: tourism product, human resources, infrastructure, marketing and institutional arrangements Seminars
The main activity in the project is a 3-day training, carried out in Lvov (25-27 August) and Kiev (29 September — 1 October) for 60 people each. Seminars will be divided into 5 thematic areas which reflect priority areas of developing tourism in Poland.: tourism product, human resources, infrastructure, marketing and institutional arrangements. They create a complex idea of developing tourism in a professional way. The first day will be devoted to creation of competitive tourism products, trends and tendencies observed in the tourism market as well as a psychological portrait of a modern tourist. The below mentioned presentations will be presented in this section: Trends and tendencies on global tourism market — psychological portrait of tourists. Model of creating tourism development in the scope of a region, place and attraction. Creation of a competitive tourism product — key success factor. Brand tourism product — as an investment. The second day will be devoted to human resources and their role in creating strategies, promotion as well as high quality of services and promotion (mainly integrated tourist information systems). Presentation are as follows: Quality standards in tourism services as a key success factor. Training systems in Europe — good practice of Poland, Ireland and Spain. Tourism as a chance for rural areas — Integrated Agrotourism Areas and Ecomuseums. Image and demand research as a fundament for elaborating promotion strategies. Integrated tourist information systems. Promotion and brand creation — case study. The last day will concern the rules of elaborating strategic documents and establishing a platform of cooperation on different levels. The presentations will be: Tourism development strategies — rules of creation in the scope of attractions and resources. Communication accessibility as a key success factor for tourist enterprises and projects. Building partnership and wide cooperation — good practice. Strategic documents as a fundament for developing and financing tourism. Each day of a training will be summarized by a discussion with participants. The general agenda is presented below.
