Court unblocked lands of “Boryspil”
 Judicial land litigation which impeded the preparation of “Boryspil” airport for EURO 2012 comes to the end. June 16, 2010 Economic Court of Kyiv region made two fundamental decisions that unblocked the process of preparing the airport "Boryspil". In fact, judicial litigation and arrested lands adjacent to the airport, no doubt, was not allowed to develop and modernize the main airport of the capital, which is preparing to welcome EURO 2012 guests. First, by court decision “Airlines “Aerosvit” has been completely denied to the litigation of claims on the disputed land. Second, the court order canceled all measures to ensure claim, under which was seized on these sites. To return lands to state ownership which were poached by Closed company “Airlines “Aerosvit” it was necessary to achieve implementation of existing decisions of the Economic Court of Kyiv region from April 11, 2007. Failure to comply with court decisions was possible through the connivance of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, because the decision after the entry into legal force on October 22, 2007 were left unchanged by Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine. Then began litigation to postponing implementation of the court decision with another manipulation by the company "Aerosvit" in order to delay the case. The situation reached absurd. Modernization of the airport “Boryspil” is included to the State target program on preparation for EURO 2012. And in areas more than 32 hectares, directly in the airport, already four years because of court litigation were kept any works. Seized blocked entrance roads to the terminal. Earlier at this area was planned to build a new terminal. However, construction had to move to another area. To break this vicious circle, trial officially joined representatives of the Government, Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine. Thanks to the principled position of the trial participants, case started examine by collegiate court. Recall the order of the State Committee of Ukraine on Land resources from August 17, 2009 was established a joint working group of the State Committee and Boryspil airport for execution of land for permanent use, as well as solutions for other issues dealing with land relations and protection public interests. Finally on June 9 was held session of the Economic Court of Kyiv region, where first time were succeeded to consider the case essentially. On June 16 the court decision does not draw a line under land dispute. However, the state is going to set up procedures and it is planned to open the airport on Independence Day on August 24, 2010. To save time, despite the fact that the completion of judicial epic ahead, today “Boryspil” airport began to acquire lands and prepare for reconstruction. Information Centre “Ukraine-2012”
