UEFA - Ukrainian cities: "No time to delay"
On Thursday, April 1, Chief Operating Officer Martin Kallen and UEFA Director of the IOC "EURO 2012" Markiyan Lubkivsky held several meetings with representatives of the host Ukrainian cities. In particular, Martin Kallen and Markiyan Lubkivsky held talks with the Lviv Mayor Andriy Garden, the first deputy head of the Kyiv city state administration Anatoly Holubchenko, the first deputy mayor of Donetsk Nikolay Volkov and deputy mayor of Kharkiv Vitali Hristoevym.
During the meetings was made tougher stance UEFA regarding the preparation of Ukrainian cities to host EURO 2012. In particular, Martin Kallen said that today it is essential immediately solve all problems. "The time for that to linger, no longer exists. We must respond quickly and qualitatively to the challenges that face us," - warned the authorized representative of the League. For their part, leaders of cities was assured that all comments will be taken into account, and UEFA requirements will be fulfilled within a specified time. Martin Kallen also recalled that the League is preparing an audit of the construction of airports receiving four Ukrainian cities. During the meetings separately also discussed preparations for the visit of the UEFA President Michel Platini to Ukraine, which will take place April 7-8 this year.
