Henceforth, our tourists will be difficult to go to Europe?
Code adopted by the European Parliament and the Council of the EU, since yesterday is mandatory for all countries - participants of the Schengen Agreement. So in their consulates now lead the procedure of issuing visas, as they say, to a common denominator. However, in Ukraine, some of the innovations yet will not act.
New application forms can already be downloaded from the official sites of consular offices. For a minor, which is inscribed in the passport of the father or mother, now opens a separate visa. A transit visa (type B) and completely abolished. Those who wish to get, say, through the territory of Hungary will now issue permits for a short stay. It gives the right to double entry (type "E"). Under the new Code, the consulate must inform the applicant of the refusal of a visa in writing on company letterhead. True, it involves the citizens of Ukraine only since 2011. In consideration of any application is now given only ten days. As is known, the process of registration permits begins after paying the visa fee. Under the Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on simplification of visa regime, ten days counted from the moment of payment. In "justified cases" consulate may extend the application of up to 30 calendar days, and in some cases to 60. However, according to foreign diplomats, the system of issuing visas is set to become easier. And last but not least thanks to a single database of information that takes into account biometric indicators for each traveler. True, our fellow citizens fingerprinted until required. Ambassador at Large Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Sergey Aleshin tried to explain this by saying that Ukrainians do not consider Europe as citizens of the countries of migration risk. They say, trust us to Europe, that gives a kind of carte blanche. Programme Coordinator of the EC Delegation to Ukraine Olga Maksimenko said that the visa information system initially will introduce in North Africa and the Middle East. However, there are other reasons. In Ukraine, has not introduced the Law on Protection of Personal Data. Accordingly, it is impossible to enter and passports with biometric identification data. Told a press conference in Uzhgorod did not fail to declare employees of consulates in Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. So long as the statements of the Ukrainians will be registered without biometric identifiers - a good agreement between Ukraine and the EU on simplification of visa regime. And then time will tell.
